Itinerary

Your private guide picks you up from your hotel. Drive 3 hours through Central Java highlands.

Hike 30 minutes up Sikunir Hill. Watch the sunrise over the misty plateau and volcanic peaks. Return to basecamp for local breakfast.

Visit the 7th-century Arjuna Temple complex. Explore Telaga Warna (the Colorful Lake) and Telaga Pengilon. Walk to the active Sikidang Crater.

Scenic drive back through the highlands. Arrive Yogyakarta late afternoon/evening.

Dress in warm layers — Dieng can be 8–15°C in the morning. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The tour departs around 1–2 AM from Yogyakarta to reach Sikunir for sunrise. A small local breakfast is available near the hill for a very reasonable price.
